To make this project a reality, we need YOUR HELP !!

As is the case with any project, we require funding to make it a reality and present it at iGEM. Enrollment in the competition, development the project, presenting it at the European headquarters .... all of this costs money and requires funding. We can cover some of this within the team, and with the help of our supervisors and of University bodies. We are also writing small grant applications to obtain funding from other external and institutional source. However, this funding will not be enough. This is where you can collaborate with the project. We are preparing a couple of crowd funding initiatives, to be presented in pages that are targeted at different national and international audiences. You can collaborate by donating to one of those pages! We will provide the links this week!!! In the meantime, here is an estimate of project costs.

Summer 2012
Project execution .......... 4500 € ** if you are part of a laboratory equipment company, here is where you can help ! Equipment donations are very welcome and will contribute to decrease the need for funds in this part of the project.


October 2012 (iGEM's first phase): continental
Individual registration, trip to and stay at the European iGEM leg .......... 12000 €
(UdL, Ministry, Municipality, equity) ** corporate sponsors, animal farming associations, private donations ... Any input is welcome !



November 2012 (iGEM's second phase): intercontinental
Individual registration, trip to and stay at the iGEM  finals.......... 17000 €
